Rumsfeld repays McCain; declines to back candidate


I'm a bit worried about that "repays". I just hope McCain didn't violate any campaign finance laws paying Rumsfeld for this.

Clearly Rumsfeld is following the Paul Krugman strategy of bestowing criticism which is more valuable than praise.

I hasten to add that Krugman's criticism is valuable, because most Americans are confused and disagree with perfectly reasonable things that he says.

And really Rumsfeld's motives are a known unknown not to mention a who gives a damn unknown.
