Obama Wins North Carolina
North Carolina just voted for an African American President, a Female Democratic Senator who is willing to talk to atheists Kay Hagan* and a Female Democratic governor Beverly Perdue.
This is the state which kept re-electing Jesse Helms (always by narrow margins).
The Times they are a Changing. In fact, they seem to have a changed.
*Hagan herself is devoutly Christian as, indeed, is Obama and I would guess Perdue

I was watching the BBC coverage and there was a lot of speculation that Georgia might go blue. I mean, Georgia. It didn't in the end, but - yeah. It's incredible.
Although the real highlight of the BBC coverage was Gore Vidal.
